This article explains the various options for family balance displays at the point of sale.
There are several options for showing or hiding the family balance at the point of sale. These options can be found in the General Settings of the LCS1000 Admin Site. Go to the LCS1000 Admin Site>Lines tab>General Settings.
The Real-Time Family Balance Display Settings are near the top of the settings list.
If the "Off" option is selected, the family balance will not show up in the serving line/point of sale. An example of this is shown here:
If the "On if below Low Balance Threshold" is selected, the family balance will only show at the point of sale when the student's family balance is below the low balance threshold. This low balance threshold is determined in the LCS1000 Admin Site>Lines tab>General Settings, as seen here:

The "Always on but hidden until operator request" setting will not show the balance until the cashier toggles it on for each individual student. An example of this is shown here:
If the "Always On" setting is selected, the balance will always show up at the point of sale. An example of this is shown here:
