What is the DataBridge System?

This article will cover what the system is, the various options, and how it affects the system.

The DataBridge is a module designed to import data from a Student Information System (SIS) on a regular schedule. It is meant to save system administrators time by avoiding the need for duplicate data entry. It has the added benefit of standardizing data between systems. DOB formatting, phone number formatting, name spelling, etc.

There are two versions of the DataBridge.

PowerSchool API Plugin

If your school uses PowerSchool as a SIS, then we have a plugin available that utilizes our API. This is a quick and convenient way of installing our DataBridge. The plugin has two functions, one is to import student and family data, and the other is to provide a Single Sign On (SSO) for parent users. These two functions work independently, so if you only want one or the other, that is an option.

File Based

The second option is our file transfer. Most SIS can create an export of student and parent data. Our system can be configured to consume an export from the SIS. Certain data are required for it to work.

To find out if the DataBridge is a good fit for your district, please open a ticket to schedule a 15-minute call with support, and a DataBridge specialist will reach out and set up a time to discuss the steps.
